Student Goals Assignment
It is important to always set attainable, reasonable goals for oneself--both in the short and long term. This creates a sense of motivation and helps a person to feel successful once goals are completed. If a goal is not completed, it can either teach lessons on how to make changes in the future, or it can remain on the list as something one never stops striving for. Remember to be S.M.A.R.T. when setting goals for yourself.
- For this assignment, you are to complete the list of ten goals for yourself that you hope to complete this year: five educational and five personal. Remember that your goals should be specific ("recycle certain items" versus "save the environment"), measurable (how will you know when goals are complete?), achievable (within your means), realistic, and time-targeted (this year).
- Once you have created your goals list, explain (2-3 complete sentences!) what will be important in helping you achieve EACH of your goals (parents, teachers, teammates, time in class, transportation, etc.). You should have at least one item for each of your goals, and in some cases more than one.
- This assignment will be completed on your Weebly website.
